What you can do.

Call Cory Johnson's Office RIGHT NOW at (212) 564-7757
and ask him to bring up Intro 1524 for a vote!
A few key points to think about:
1. New York State banned pesticides from school fields in 2010, but NYC kids typically play in city parks where no such ban exists. That's not right! NYC kids already have a higher body burden of toxins!

2. Continuing to use glyphosate could be a liability for NYC. Recent court cases have resulted in billion-dollar judgments for workers who were exposed to glyphosate and developed cancer. NYC could potentially be held liable for continuing to use this carcinogen.

3. Battery Park in lower Manhattan is proof positive that you don't need these kinds of toxic pesticides to have a beautiful, healthy park where kids and pets can play. It's 100% organic, and has been for the past ten years.
