To help accomplish the successful transition to non-toxic landscape management, we are holding a free virtual introductory meeting for all organizations and individuals involved in the maintenance of New York City Parks on Tuesday, December 14th at 11:00 am.
Two of our coalition members have broad experience conducting professional non-toxic landscape training. Grassroots Environmental Education was contracted by the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation to conduct training across New York State in support of the law prohibiting the use of chemical pesticides on all school grounds in New York State. Beyond Pesticides has conducted professional training and natural landscape management implementation programs across the country, including at the National Mall in Washington, D.C.

The 90-minute webinar will feature nationally recognized natural turf expert Charles (“Chip”) Osborne who will explain the Systems Approach to professional turf and landscape maintenance, and how it can help produce outstanding results without the use of chemical pesticides. Chip has been on the forefront of natural landscape management for two decades. His natural strategies blend science with hands-on experience to create safe, sustainable, and healthy athletic fields and landscapes that do not involve the use of synthetic pesticides and chemical based fertilizers.
We hope you will join us for this important introductory webinar. |
